The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) is a non-profit organization formed to promote understanding of computer science. The Special Interest Group in Graphics (SIGGRAPH) focuses on promoting an increased knowledge of and greater interest in t he science, design, development and application of modern computing in computer graphics. The Tri-Cities ACM SIGGRAPH has been active since the Spring of 1992 and became a recognized local chapter fo the national group in the summer of 1993.
