Airborne All The Way”

       Author unknown

What separates them from the rest
  These men with silver wings
  Troopers from the sky above
  In who devotion springs
  What spirit so unites them
  In brotherhood they say
There answer loud and clear, “Airborne All The Way”

These are the men of danger
As in open door they stand
With static line in their hand
  While earthbound they are falling
  A silent prayer they say
“Lord be with us forever, “Airborne All The Way”

One day they’ll make their final jump
Saint Mike will tap them out
The good Lord will be waiting
He knows what they are about
  An answering in cadence,
  He’ll hear the Troopers say
“We’re glad to be aboard, Sir, Airborne All The Way”

  "AIRBORNE SOLDIER, one and all"

       by Russ Melville

A maroon beret, a distinctive crest,
They stand out above the rest.
With silver wings and standing tall,
They are AIRBORNE SOLDIERS, ONE AND ALL!

The call to battle over the years,
Caused many a foe, nightmares and tears.
Though no one likes the thought of war,
The hope is that-there will be no more.
But when duty calls and there is a need,
We call on these men of special breed.
They all know that some will fall,
But they’re AIRBORNE SOLDIERS, ONE AND ALL!

Out of the sky in the still of the night,
On foreign soil, and ready to-fight.
They never fail to answer that call,
Cause they’re AIRBORNE SOLDIERS, ONE AND ALL!

The airborne legend of World War two,
Is gladly shared by those who knew.
With Head held high and smiling face,
They tell their stories with pride and grace.
The young men today who serve with pride,
Carry on that spirit of those who died.
Be proud of these men of the U.S.A.,
Cause they’re AIRBORNE SOLDIERS, “ALL THE WAY”!
