After winning a couple "battle of the bands" style competitions, the Randy Oxford Band will represent the Washington Blues Society in February 2010 at the Blues Foundation's International Blues Challenge in Memphis. Led by "The Trombone Man," this band covers blues and R&B from Memphis to Motown. Randy is a regular on the Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise circuit where he played this October with Mavis Staples, Kenny Wayne Shepard, Rod Piazza, Tommy Castro, Ronnie Baker Brooks, Elvin Bishop, Susan Tedeschi, Coco Montoya, & many others. Great, high-energy, engaging show and always a surprise guest.
