Washington Blues Society awarded Best Blues Recording/CD 2005 to The Randy Oxford Band for their CD, "All the Buzz"

 Randy wrote this acceptance speech for the honor:

I would like to Thank my band members on the CD, Virginia Klemens, Jerry Lee Davidson,Riky Hudson, Steve Blood and Jack Kinney for believing in me and trusting in me to produce my first CD as a band leader. Having total creative freedom is what enabled me to bring the sound I had in my head to the studio and eventually on to the "all the buzz" CD.

I would also like to thank our engineer at Blue Ewe Studios, David Malony for making it easy to put the sounds in my head onto disc.Dave is by far the best engineer I have ever worked with.

Thank you to all of the Blues DJ's who have regularly played our CD on their shows to include Robin Lloyd and John Kessler with KPLU, Marlee Walker with Scan TV,Clancy Dunigan with KSER,Ted Todd in Spokane, Dave Samson with KBCS and all the Blues DJ"s in Oregon as well. They have been instrumental in helping us create the Buzz around the NW.

Thank you to the Washington Blues Society for all of your support.

Last but not least I would like to thank our executive producer (My lovely wife) Jane Henderson for encouraging me to go ahead with this project sooner than later. When we were going against the clock and facing budget concerns she enabled us to keep going until we got what we wanted.

Without Jane's vision, patience and understanding, this project would not have been possible.
