Washington Blues Society awarded "Life Time Achievent" - 2005 to Randy Oxford

 Randy wrote this acceptance speech for the honor:

Although I am too young to receive a prestigious award like this one,I will honor and cherish it for the rest of my life....I'd like to thank everyone in my musical career who understood that having fun while playing the music was always the most important thing to me.

Thank you to my family,friends,fans,fellow musicians,current band members and mosrt of all my Lovely Wife Jane Henderson.Without Jane in my life,my music career would not be where it is today.

Thank you to the Washington Blues Society for all of their support over the last 17 years.

Last but not least I want to thank my mentor in the Blues, Little Bill Engelhart for showing me the way in the music biz and constantly reminding me just how lucky we are to be making a living in the music industry.

Little Bill is a class act and a great example for all in the Blues Community to follow.......

I am humbled by this Life Time achievment award and I hope to continue my path in music for many more years to come.
