2008 Eltopia Hand Launch Challenge

Dates: June 14th and 15^th

Time: Registration at 9:00, pilots meeting at 9:30 am, last round 4 pm or earlier.

Location: Basin Sod Farm; Eltopia, WA (directions below).

RV’s: Fully self contained campers can stay at the flying field.

Restrooms: Blue room provided.

Format: Two day contest.

Awards: Major awards for first through fifth place.

Entry Fee: $15 for both days.

Rules: NWSS rules. 1.5-meter wing span limit.

Tasks: Tasks announced at pilots meeting and chosen from the F3K tasks.

Sanction: AMA sanctioned event and AMA membership required.

Lunch: No food service. Half-hour lunch break between rounds around noon.

Directions:

From Highway 395 northbound toward Spokane: Go North about 8.6 miles from the Kartchner road overpass (near King City truck stop) to Sagemoor road. Turn East on Sagemoor and go about 3 miles to bridge over canal then follow “NWSS” or “SOARING” signs.

From Highway 395 southbound toward Pasco: Go about 14.3 miles south of Highway 17 intersection to Sagemoor road. Turn East on Sagemoor and go about 3 miles to bridge over canal then follow “NWSS” or “SOARING” signs.

Note: Please keep your speed down on the gravel roads and don’t drive on the sod.
