Portland Area Sailplane Society's Hand Launch Weekend

Two one-day contests. Awards given for 1st-3rd place, both days.

We will be using NWSS rules. Wing span limit of 1.5 meters.

Tasks to be announced at pilots meeting, similar to tasks at other NWSS events.

AMA sanctioned event; cards will be checked.

Saturday: The last round will be the one in progress at 4:00 pm

Sunday: The last round will be the one in progress at 3:00 pm

Site directions:
From I-84 take the exit for Fairview Parkway. (East of Portland, West of Troutdale)

Go north to NE Sandy Blvd and take a right. Turn left on NE 223rd (at the 4-way stop). Turn left on Blue Lake Park Road. Follow this road and go PAST the main entrance to the park. Just past the entrance, on the right side of the road, is a chained off dirt road.

This is where you enter the flying field.

Brass lock on gate, combo is “2007” – set combo, then squeeze lock to open.

Please lock gate and lock behind you.

Motel accommodations: All within 5 miles of field

Sorry, no camping overnight at the field
