P><B> The Future </B>
With any luck we will have a Climbing Management Plan and a MOU by the end of 2001.  I also hope to get the Land Managers for Vantage, Leavenworth and Index to actually talk to each other and make more joint decisions.  Leavenworth has changed some of their rules on large commercial climbing groups so that is why we got some large groups in 2000 and will likely have more in 2001.  So yes, there is a lot of ³cross talk² between climbing areas and more global solutions like what Patrick Putnum is trying will be a more effective and hopefully ultimately better way of managing climbing.
