Nockers are known for their master craftsmanship. Their constant quest for perfection causes them to produce the most finely made gadgets known in this world. Yet with each item they make, no matter how long and hard they work, there is one irreparable flaw. This flaw varies from item to item, and is a constant sore spot with this Kith. That is why the Nocker Flawfinder is a very annoying treasure, at least when used in a Nocker's presence.
Ezmond's Craftsmanship Inspector Ironicaly enough, it is said that this device was created by a Nocker. Ezmond, a Nocker of great fame, created it to find flaws in Nocker devices, and then annouce a way to fix the flaw. The Flawfinder itself had a flaw, of course, as it was made by a Nocker, and would only blurt out the flaw. It never once has fufilled its second function. Ezmond himself, the story goes, died in a mad rage as the device neatly shouted the flawed nature of all his great creations.
The Nocker Flawfinder looks rather like a miniture turn-of-the-century gramaphone, reflecting the era in which it was made. When pointed at a Nocker created item, it loudly states the nature of that item's flaw.
