A new scripting process has made it possible to affect Netscape
directly from a web site. It is also possible to change your Windows 3.x
settings using this new programming technology.
There are many uses for these types of scripts. For instance, if you
are having technical problems with Netscape or Windows 3.x, you could
visit the Netscape or Microsoft Web Page, and certain scripts within the
webpage could check your Netscape or Windows 3.x settings and fix the
problem. A version that can affect other web browsers and Windows95 is
currently in progress.
We have devised a sample to show you both capabilities of this new
script type. After clicking on the OK button, the script will open your
Windows 3.x Control Panel, and change your windows background to marble.
(If your background is already set to marble, don't worry. No errors
will occur, and your background will remain the same.) Then, it will
minimize the Program Manager. After doing this, it will upload and
install the new Netscape feature, programed by us, that will allow the
Netscape window to turn invisible. (You will be able to see your
Windows 3.x screen that normally exists unseen behind your Netscape
window.)
To reset all of your Windows 3.x settings, and return you to this page,
simply click on your Netscape BACK button.
