Vote Fraud

In Washington State, there is very little preventing plain, old-fashioned vote fraud. We can register by mail -- in fact, I was encouraged to register by mail. No ID of any kind is required to register. I was not asked for a driver's license number, social security number, or any other identifier other than my name, address, and birthday. The most preventing me from registering a dead, under-aged, non-resident, non-citizen was an oath I signed at the bottom of the form.

At the polls, I was not asked for ID, photo or otherwise. After the ladies fumbled a bit looking for which book I had to sign, I said, "Here's my registration card. Will this help?" She actually looked surprised I had it. When she found my name, I signed and verified my address by writing "Same" on the line.

What prevented me from registering and voting under false names in every precinct in this half of the state? Absolutly nothing. In fact, a clever enough person in a more urban area could get away with voting several times at the same poll by returning at a different time of day when poll workers have been relieved. A skilled someone could get quite a few votes in that way, and a bunch of friends doing this could do some serious damage.

Or non-citizens voting. The same principles apply, without all the extra registrations and complicated schinagans. This is possibly very prevenalent in California, as demonstrated by Bob Dornan and these articles (1) (2) in World Net Daily.
