I have been recognized as a significant contributor to the safety culture where I work. My influence has often extended beyond my group.
I have been a Building Warden for one of the largest facilities on the site, with over 300 employees, for seven years. I regularly hosted Facility Specific Safety Training for groups throughout the building. I led and trained a Building Emergency Organization of over 30 people. Our team has performed exceptionally well in recent monitored training exercises
Most recently, I have campaigned for the deployment of Automatic Electronic Defibrillators (AED) in our facilities. The American Heart Association is advocating these devices as a way to save lives. Several recent studies have shown that AED in casinos and on airliners have proven to be extraordinarily beneficial.

I have used my computer skills to enhance safety in a number of ways over the years. Some were locally applied, and others promoted across the site.
I demonstrated software six years ago that would enable one to distribute an emergency message to an entire building or site in an efficient way. The site facility contractor, Dyncorp, has agreed to implement this Great Idea. (Visual Basic)
I created and distributed a program that, when inserted in one's PC's Startup routine, would display a brief safety message. These were either a selection from the site's Master Safety Rules or (less frequently) a humorous safety slogan from Burma Shave. If you are under about 50 years of age, you may have to ask me about this, or look it up on the web. (Visual Basic)
I created programs distributed by email, that people would run on their PC's and their answers would be instantly available for analysis. This was was done for the Voluntary Protection Program (second screen shot) (Turbo Pascal and later Visual Basic)
