E. Ivar Husa

Summary

I have been frequently honored for my work, and often this involves a software development project. Pretty much every year I get an award, but beyond that, I nominate others for awards. I don't just take out, but put back in. I have been an active safety champion for many years, even for a time when this was a formal title.

TWRS Monthly Performance Awards

Winner for 3/94, 3/95, 2/96, 7/97, and several since then. These have been for successful projects, such as the Engineering Surveillance Videotape Library, and safety advocacy.
TWRS Total Quality Achievement Award

Winner for 1994 in the exempt category. An annual award given for my safety advocacy and development of a computer program called LOOKUP that was distributed around the site.
Information Systems Advisory Council Awards
starstar
Winner (twice) in 1991. The first award was for Computer Animation for 241-SY-101 Safety Investigation. Randy Heller and I put together a videotape that displays graphically the temperature changes that occur in a tank undergoing violent churning. The second Award was with a Boeing team for the Hanford Waste Tank Temperature Database, which became the Surveillance Analysis Computer System.
